The Process of Purity?

In this dying age that is soon coming to a close, we can hold on to the truth that Jesus is soon approaching and at the door even. I have been allowed, by the grace of God to take a step back from my own life and ponder its purpose. I know I have given my all and have committed my walk and way of life to Him, although I have stumbled along the way. I would assume that all His children that call on Him and desire Him more than life itself will understand where I am coming from. If you do not at this point, it is not too late; a deep love for God is still available to you by His Holy Spirit!
So how do I stay and remain as the bride of Christ? Well, I think the first thing that comes to mind is to trust that I am in His Hands and that all the Father has given Him, He will not let go. So what I am saying is that it is by the grace, mercy, and love of God that I am being preserved. Coupled with my desire to do so, the Holy Spirit leads us and shows us how to keep ourselves pure as the Bride. How does purity have to do with being the bride of Christ; well we know that He is coming back for just that, one without 'spot or blemish'.
The desire to be pure cannot be forced upon us, it is a condition of the heart. It is something that I started to desire when I began giving in to the conviction of sin in my life. It is also a condition that does not occur spontaneously once you decide to follow Jesus, instead, just as a Gardener (Father - will explain later) slowly has to prune his plants so that they may bear more fruit, it takes time. Our eyes and ears are gateways to our minds, will, and emotions. I would say to be wary every day of every decision you make, if there is something in your life that you know causes you to sin, cut it out immediately if possible. With that being said, how do you know what sin ( the thing (actions, thoughts, and words ) is? A wonderfully simple answer, The Bible. Almost too simple right? It seems almost impossible, that one little manuscript is all you need to gain the understanding needed to live a life that leads to Eternal Life?!!? Yet, our society deems it possible, but only in the realm of folklore, witchcraft, and wizardry. I just watched some show on Netflix, 'The Order' where the Grand Magus wants to be tethered to a book called the Vade Mecum to gain all power, and many people were killed in order to attain it. Although it's hardly a comparison, what makes Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit so different? Well for starters, together they are God and are completely all-sufficient with no need for humans as mediums to create or destroy or carry out his will. The Spirit is an acting force that is full of all power and is not something that can be wielded by humans to carry out their own desires. No, the Spirit is a person that works with you Only to help you overcome, by guiding you daily to Follow Jesus, who is the manifested Word of God or Word become flesh. When you think about it, they are a unified Mind, Body, and Spirit and we are allowed into this amazing source of power only through willing obedience to learn how to love and be loved by God. There is only one true God, and the power depicted in moves pales in comparison to that which is possessed by Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit.
Purity is a Process and one that Jesus will see to completion in our lives should we stay committed to Him. Walk by the Spirit because for those that do, there is no law against us. These are fruits of the Holy Spirit:
Galatians 5:22-23 New International Version
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things, there is no law.
So going back to the Father being the Gardener, he prunes us so that we produce more fruit, so that we may be blameless before Jesus at His second coming. Jesus also reminds us that unless we abide in Him, the Vine, we can produce no fruit.
' No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.' - John 15:4-5
I believe this is our purity before God, the full development or ripening of the fruits of the Holy Spirt, which is what sets us apart and keeps us from the pollution of the world and from defiling ourselves. And remember what Jesus said to those who are pure of heart,' they shall see God!'
Hope this blesses you!
